Overview
Peratallada is one of Catalonia's most picturesque medieval villages, declared a historic-artistic monument for its exceptional preservation. The name derives from 'pedra tallada' (carved stone), and indeed most buildings are constructed from stone carved from the deep moat (fosse) that still encircles parts of this fortified town.
