Overview
Pengerang is a quiet Malaysian peninsula at the southeastern tip of Johor, traditionally a cluster of fishing villages (kampungs) but now partly dominated by oil industry infrastructure. The main draw is Sungai Rengit, a small town famous for its lobster restaurants where you can feast on RM 200/kilo crustaceans in every preparation imaginable.

Accommodation
Basic hotels and resorts exist but facilities are limited. Most visitors use Pengerang as a quick stop rather than overnight base.
Connectivity
Standard Malaysian mobile coverage applies. Major providers include Maxis, Celcom, and Digi with prepaid SIMs widely available.
Food
Sungai Rengit is famous for lobster at around RM 200/kilo. Jade Garden Seafood Corner is the most established restaurant with clearly marked prices.
Transport
Ferry to Singapore operates Friday-Sunday only from Tanjung Pengelih. Taxis from dock to Sungai Rengit start at RM 40 negotiable. No public bus service exists.
