Stray dogs on back roads can be aggressive; beach dogs are generally peaceful. Be cautious with mehndi sellers as some use cheap chemical additives.
Transport
Scooter rental costs around ₹300/day with ID required. Auto-rickshaws start at ₹80 for local rides. Fixed-price taxis from Margao station or Dabolim Airport cost ₹2,500.
