Overview
Palencia offers a genuine Spanish city experience without the crowds or inflated prices of Madrid or Barcelona. Its highlight is the Flamboyant Gothic cathedral (1321-1504) with ornate chapels, a stone choir screen, and a 7th-century crypt containing relics of St Antonín.
