Overview
Orange draws travelers specifically for its UNESCO-listed Roman theatre, the finest surviving example from antiquity in Europe. The town comes alive each July and August during the Choregies d'Orange, one of France's oldest opera festivals, when the ancient stage hosts world-class performances against 2,000-year-old stone.
