Overview
Omagh is a market town of 20,500 people in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland, at the confluence of two small rivers forming the Strule River. Its name is indelibly linked to the 1998 Real IRA car bombing that killed 29 people—the worst single act of violence in the Troubles—but the town has rebuilt with memorial sites and gardens.
