Overview

Odemira municipality spans 1,720 km² across Baixo Alentejo, making it Portugal's largest municipality by area, yet it holds just over 20,000 residents. The coastal village of Zambujeira do Mar is the real draw — a former fishing hamlet now famous for its clifftop walks, isolated sandy coves, and the massive Festival Sudoeste in August.
