Overview

Oberammergau is a small Bavarian village of about 5,300 people famous for two unique traditions: its decennial Passion Play (next performed in 2030) and the "Luftmalerei" decorative murals that cover nearly every building. The murals depict biblical scenes and folklore, creating an open-air gallery that makes walking the village a visual delight.
