Overview
Naracoorte is a small service town on South Australia's Limestone Coast, best known as the gateway to Naracoorte Caves National Park, the state's only UNESCO World Heritage Site. The caves contain exceptional mammalian fossils from enormous extinct megafauna, including marsupial lions, giant kangaroos, and five-metre-long snakes preserved in sedimentary deposits spanning two to three million years.
