Overview
Nantucket is a 3.5 by 14 mile island 30 miles off the coast of Cape Cod, Massachusetts. The name derives from a Native American word meaning 'faraway island.' Once the whaling capital of the world, today it offers quiet harbors, dramatic cliffs, sandy beaches, historic lighthouses, and beautiful 1800s mansions.
