Overview
Nanning serves as China's primary gateway to Southeast Asia, making it essential for travelers entering or exiting China via Vietnam. The city offers a contrast to more tourist-heavy Chinese destinations, with abundant tropical vegetation earning it the nickname "Green City." It provides easy access to ASEAN countries and hosts the annual China-ASEAN Expo in September.
