Overview
Nagcarlan is one of the oldest towns in Laguna province, predating Spanish colonization and holding a unique place in Philippine history as the first place where wheat was grown in the country. It offers a quieter alternative to neighboring Liliw, with fewer tourists but comparable attractions including colonial architecture and natural cold springs.
