Overview
Muros is the largest of a string of fishing villages along the Galician coast, with a population of 8,200 in 2024. It has evolved from a working fishing port into a relaxing beach resort while retaining its traditional character.

Hotels cluster around the port: Hotel La Muradana (double €65 room only) is most budget-friendly, Hotel do Porto (B&B double €110) is harbor-side.
Connectivity
5G available from Masmovil, Movistar, and Orange as of Feb 2025. Vodafone signal is unreliable.
Food
Restaurants and tapas bars gather around the port area. Town market at Praza de Abastos open M-Sa 09:00-14:00. Galician white wine is crisp like Portuguese.
Transport
Monbus runs hourly from Santiago de Compostela (1hr 45min). The town is walkable but you'll need a car or taxi to reach nearby beaches and villages.
