Overview
Murnau is a small Bavarian town of 12,000 people situated on Staffelsee lake, just north of the Bavarian Alps. The town gained artistic fame when Expressionist painters Gabriele Münter and Wassily Kandinsky lived here from 1909 to 1914, and today visitors can tour their preserved home.
