Overview
Mozia is a small island in the Stagnone Lagoon that preserves one of the most evocative Phoenician archaeological landscapes in the western Mediterranean. Stone roads, city walls, temples, and homes are spread across its quiet terrain, and the Whitaker Museum houses the celebrated Motya Charioteer—a rare 5th-century BC marble statue of Greek origin found on the island.
