Safety
There are no dangerous animals like lions in the park, making hiking safe. However, baboons can be aggressive and should not be approached. Rock dassies are shy but can become naughty.
Transport
Self-drive is the primary way to access and explore the park. No public transport options are available.
Weather
Summer temperatures can exceed 40°C; bring ample water. Winter snow is possible on higher peaks. Gate hours are 7AM-6PM in winter and 7AM-7PM in summer.
