Overview
Montfort-sur-Meu is a small Breton town worth visiting as the birthplace of Saint Louis-Marie Grignion de Montfort, a revered Roman Catholic saint who pioneered mariology. The town preserves medieval architecture including the 14th-century Papegaut Tower, a former prison now housing a local ecomuseum.
