Overview
Mons (Dutch: Bergen) is the capital of Hainaut province in Belgium's French-speaking Wallonia region. It served as European Capital of Culture in 2015 alongside Plzeň in the Czech Republic, which spurred extensive restoration of its historic core.

Transport
Mons is connected to Brussels by hourly IC trains (approx. 1 hour). The free city shuttle runs 07:00-21:00 along three routes from Gare B.
