Overview
Monopoli is a coastal town of 48,000 people in the Bari province of Apulia, Italy. It is an old fishing village with several very picturesque beaches, retaining its Italian old-town feel and relatively untouched by international tourism.

Summer (June-August) sees the busiest period with bus services to beaches. Beach clubs and tourism facilities are fully operational. Spring and autumn offer milder weather and fewer crowds.
Transport
Bari Airport (BRI) is the nearest international airport, with a 30-minute transfer to Bari train station and another 30 minutes by train to Monopoli. The old town is walkable from the station.
