Overview
Minot earns its 'Magic City' nickname from rapid 1880s growth as a Great Northern railway stop. Today it's a working-class Northern Plains city where you can grab a Chinese buffet for under $10, visit a Norwegian stave church, and watch 2/5ths-scale trains circle Roosevelt Park — all without tourist crowds.
