Overview
Meghri is the last major Armenian center before the Iranian border and serves as the primary gateway for overland crossings at Agarak. The town offers a rare glimpse of old mud adobe architecture with Middle Eastern flair, much of it crumbling but evocative, alongside well-preserved 17th-century churches covered in colorful frescoes.
