Overview
Mattinata is a small Puglian town on the Gargano Peninsula where the Adriatic meets ancient Daunian culture. The town is famous for its exceptional olive oil (part of the Città dell'Olio association) and the dramatic Faraglioni rocks rising from Zagare Bay.

Car is essential for exploring Gargano's coast and mountains. Foggia is the nearest train station, about 40 minutes away by road.
