Overview
Marinduque is the heart-shaped island province in the Philippines often called the "Heart of the Philippines." It remains largely undiscovered by international tourists, offering pristine beaches like White Beach in Poctoy, Torrijos, and the Tres Reyes Islands with their empty beaches and clear azure waters. The island is most famous for the Moriones Festival, held during Holy Week, considered the most colorful festival in the Philippines, featuring participants in elaborate Roman soldier costumes re-enacting the story of Longinus.
