Overview
Marausa is a small coastal settlement in Trapani Province, Sicily, situated about 9 km south of Trapani. Historically inhabited since ancient times by Carthaginians and Romans, the area features a 16th-century watchtower and access to 2.5 km of sandy beaches at Marausa Lido.

Beach
Marausa Lido has 2.5 km of sandy beach, free to access with temporary lidos constructed from June-September. Peak season is July-August.

Food
Pizza take-aways on the main road offer meals from €4-18.50. Bar Tiffany is a popular local meeting point. Marausa Beach Restaurant serves fresh seafood year-round.

Local shops include two supermarkets, bakery, butchers, fishmongers, greengrocers, pharmacy, bank with 2 ATMs. Roadside farmers sell produce directly.
Transport
Marausa sits along the A29 motorway, about 9 km south of Trapani. The nearest rail station is at Locogrande near Marausa Railway Station.
