Overview
Malton is a compact market town in North Yorkshire that serves as the gateway to two major attractions: Castle Howard, one of England's finest Baroque stately homes 8 miles west, and the North York Moors rising to the north. With excellent train connections from York (35 minutes) and a lively small-town centre with independent shops and eateries, Malton makes an ideal base for 2-3 nights.
