Malahide is a coastal town 18 km northeast of Dublin, known for its medieval castle set in parkland (Malahide Demesne) and Georgian-Victorian seafront architecture. The Talbot family ruled from Malahide Castle from 1180, and the village grew as a suburban resort for Dublin.
