Overview
Lovech is one of Bulgaria's oldest cities and a refreshingly untouristed gateway to the Balkan Mountains. The city centers on a distinctive 1931 covered bridge with 14 shops crossing the Osam River, flanked by a preserved Varosha old town with ethnographic museums and baroque 19th-century architecture.
