Overview
Lorient is a working Breton port city of 57,000 people, often called la ville aux cinq ports ("city of five ports") for its military, fishing, commercial, passenger, and yachting harbors. The main draw is August's Festival Interceltique de Lorient — one of Europe's largest Celtic culture celebrations with daily street concerts, food stalls, and bagpipe bands.
