Overview
Longreach is a small, visitor-friendly town of about 3,000 people in Central Outback Queensland, named after the 'long reach' of the Thomson River. The town has a strong connection with Qantas, whose early origins trace back to Longreach as the base of Queensland and Northern Territory Aerial Service.
