Overview
Locorotondo is one of I Borghi più belli d'Italia ("The most beautiful villages of Italy"), awarded the Orange Flag by the Touring Club of Italy for the harmony of its shapes and the accessibility of its old town. The town features an intricate network of little streets lined with old buildings and is famous for its typical houses called "Le Cummerse," which have regular geometric shapes and sloping roofs made of two different layers of limestone slabs.
