Overview
Leven is a small town on the Fife coast with a population of around 10,000 (2022). It was historically industrial, merging with neighboring Methil and Buckhaven to form the Levenmouth conurbation.

Multiple golf courses in Lundin Links area. East Fife FC plays in Methil (half mile south). Highland Games in June-July at Markinch and Thornton.

Transport
Leven railway station has direct trains from Edinburgh twice hourly (70 min). Bus connections to Glenrothes, St Andrews, and East Neuk villages. Taxis available at bus station.
