Overview
Lethem is a small border town of about 3,000 people straddling the Takutu River from the Brazilian town of Bonfim. Named after Sir Gordon James Lethem, governor of British Guyana from 1941-47, the town serves as the primary crossing point between Guyana and Brazil.
