Overview
Lassen Volcanic National Park offers a volcanic wilderness experience with four types of volcanoes, steam vents, mud pots, and painted dunes across 106,000 acres. With nearly 79,000 acres designated as wilderness and fewer than 400,000 visitors per year, it provides a nature getaway far less crowded than flagship Western US parks like Yosemite, Yellowstone, and Zion.
