Overview
Las Orquídeas National Natural Park is a protected natural area on the western slopes of the Andes in the Antioquia region of Colombia. The park is named for the abundance of orchids and related flowering plants that thrive in its hilly forests, offering one of the country's most biodiverse highland and lowland forest experiences.

Hiking trail to Cerro Morro Pelado summit. Fishing available in rivers and streams.

Park has minimal infrastructure—guided tours recommended. Carry water, rain gear, and inform others of hiking plans.
Transport
Sotra Urabe buses run hourly from Medellin Terminal Norte to Santa Fe de Antioquia (90 min, ~14,000 COP). From Santa Fe, taxis reach the park entrance in about 1 hour.
Weather
Lowland temperatures average 24°C; highlands 14-18°C. Wet season runs April-November with 2,500-4,000mm annual rainfall.
