Overview
Langley is the 'Birthplace of British Columbia' — Fort Langley served as the first capital and first significant non-native settlement on the mainland BC colony when Governor James Douglas proclaimed the colony here in 1858. Today it offers a unique blend of historic fur trade sites, Fraser Valley wine tasting, equestrian culture (Langley calls itself the 'horse capital of BC'), and outdoor recreation in regional parks.
