Overview
Lacombe is a small Alberta city of 13,000 set in the rolling parkland between the Rocky Mountains foothills and the prairie. Named after Father Albert Lacombe, a French-Canadian missionary who brokered peace between the Cree and Blackfoot nations, the city preserves its history through 40 downtown murals, a historic blacksmith shop museum, and the birthplace of Canada's 20th Governor General.
