Labrador City and its suburb Wabush are a remote mining twin-town in western Labrador, near the Quebec border. With about 9,350 residents, they are the largest urban area in otherwise sparsely populated Labrador.

Transport
Wabush Airport is the main air gateway with flights from Montreal and Goose Bay. The Trans-Labrador Highway connects to Happy Valley-Goose Bay (east) and Quebec (west). Taxis start at $5.50 plus $1.85/km.
