Overview
La Digue is one of the smaller islands of the Seychelles, much quieter and more exclusive than Mahe or Praslin. The key reason for visiting is L'Anse Source d'Argent, one of the world's top beaches, famous for its exotic weathering of large pink granite rocks studding the coastline, coupled with sandy beaches and palms.

Before you go
Money
The local currency is Seychelles Rupee (SCR). Bike rental costs about RS100/day. L'Union Estate entrance is SCR 150. Credit cards may not be accepted everywhere.
Packing
Bring insect repellent for Veuve Natural Reserve. Good walking shoes are essential for hikes like Nid d'Aigle and Anse Marron. Sunscreen and water are must-haves.
Safety
Grand Anse has dangerous currents—swimming not always safe. Anse Source d'Argent is shallow at low tide. Anse Marron requires a guide and good shoes.
Transport
Bicycles are the main transport on this car-free island, costing about €10/day. Taxis are scarce and expensive (€90 half day). Ox carts near the jetty offer a traditional budget option.
