Overview
Kütahya is a mid-sized provincial city in Central Anatolia that few international tourists visit, yet it preserves a remarkable old quarter of Ottoman-era mansions and holds Turkey's other great tile-making tradition (after Iznik). Its 2022 population of 578,640 gives it a genuine Turkish urban feel rather than a packaged tourist experience.
