Overview
Kurnool served as the capital of the former Nawabs and briefly as Andhra Pradesh's capital from 1953 to 1956. Today it functions as a regional hub for the Rayalaseema region, making it a useful stop for temple pilgrims and travelers exploring the cave and forest circuits.
