Overview
Kuhmo is a paradox: a town of 8,000 people that hosts Finland's largest chamber music festival, drawing 35,000 visitors for 70 concerts over two weeks every July. Beyond the music, this vast municipality (twice the area of Luxembourg) encompasses pristine boreal forest, wildlife watching hides where you can photograph brown bears and wolverines, and the celebrated Finnish tradition of wilderness silence.
