Overview
Kremnica is one of Slovakia's best-preserved medieval towns, centered around gold mining for over a millennium. The town retains its historic character with a fortified town castle, the working Kremnica Mint (where Slovak euro coins are still produced), and several museums dedicated to the region's mining heritage.
