US dollar is the currency. Credit cards accepted at hotels and larger establishments; cash needed for local markets and smaller eateries.
Transport
Rental cars, taxis, and BBI shuttle are the main options. Most resorts are outside the main downtown area so transport is essential.
Weather
Tropical climate year-round with January-February being drier. July-October brings heavy rainfall that may disrupt water activities.
