Transport
Kokkola railway station has train connections to Helsinki (5-6 hr), Oulu (3 hr), and Vaasa (2 hr). Kokkola-Pietarsaari Airport (KOK) is 20 km south with flights from Helsinki.
Weather
Best visited May-September. Summer has long daylight hours and ferry to Tankar Island operates. Winter has only 6-7 hours of daylight.
