Overview
Kirkintilloch is a compact industrial town in central Scotland with a population of 20,000 (2022), situated 8 miles northeast of Glasgow on the Forth and Clyde Canal. The main draw is proximity to the Antonine Wall, a turf fortification built by the Romans from 142-162 AD, with the best-preserved sections at Kilsyth 6 miles east.
