King of Prussia is an edge city northwest of Philadelphia that developed around converging highways including the Schuylkill Expressway, Pennsylvania Turnpike, US Route 202, and US Route 422. The area is best known for the King of Prussia Mall, the nation's third largest shopping destination with over 450 stores, and its proximity to Valley Forge National Historical Park where George Washington and the Continental Army made their historic 1777-78 winter encampment.
