Overview
Kilmarnock is an industrial town in Ayrshire with a population of 46,970, serving as the seat of local government for East Ayrshire. Its main claims to fame are Robert Burns (the first edition of his collected poems was published here in 1786) and Johnnie Walker whisky, which was blended here until Diageo closed the plant in 2012.
