Overview
Kilkee is a small Victorian seaside resort town in County Clare on Ireland's Wild Atlantic Way, with a population of 1,200 in 2022. It was the traditional summer retreat for wealthy merchant families from Limerick, who built the substantial summer houses that now serve as small hotels and guesthouses.
