Overview
Kenmare is a small village of 2600 residents in County Kerry, southwest Ireland, at the head of Kenmare Bay. It serves as a gateway to both the Ring of Kerry (Iveragh Peninsula to the north) and Beara Peninsula (south into County Cork).

No campsite in Kenmare. Hostels, B&Bs, and hotels available. Brook Lane Hotel B&B double from €150, Sheen Falls Lodge B&B double €500.

Food
PF McCarthy's (daily noon-11PM) and Mulcahy's (M-Sa 5PM-midnight) are recommended. Lily House does Thai/Chinese Tu-Su 4-10PM. Sneem Black Pudding has protected status.
Money
ATMs are outside Bank of Ireland and AIB, both on The Square. Ireland uses Euro (EUR).
Shopping
Supermarkets (Lidl, Aldi, Murphy's SuperValu) are on the northeast edge of the village. Farmers Market is in The Square every Wednesday 10AM-4PM.
Transport
Bus Éireann 270 runs from Killarney to Kenmare (40 min, 3 M-F, 2 Sa Su). Bus 282 runs to Beara Peninsula July-Aug only. Main car park is on Railway Rd by Holy Cross Church.
