Norwegian krone (NOK) is the local currency. Guide tours range from 170-500 kr. Museum entry is 110 kr for adults.
Safety
Glaciers are extremely dangerous. Never approach glacier fronts, enter without a guide, or ignore warning signs. Ice calving creates deadly waves.
Transport
A car is essential for visiting different glacier arms as public transport is very limited. Roads into valleys are dead ends.
Weather
Summer weather can include snowfall on the glacier even in mid-summer. Bring warm layers and sunscreen year-round.
